Description

Lectures, practical workshops, live surgeries, case discussions, and assessments. Candidates must successfully pass an entrance examination prior to enrollment in the course. At the end of each module, participants are required to complete a module-based examination to assess their theoretical and practical competence.


Content:

  • Bone resorption. when and how?
  • Horizontal bone augmentation (indication & techniques)
  • Guided bone regeneration (GBR)
  • Onley bone grafting (blocks, shells, rings)
  • Khoury Technique.
  • Alveolar ridge splitting and modified Khoury technique.
  • Vertical bone augmentation.
  • Open and closed sinus lifting (old and novel techniques)
  • Nerve bypassing-nerve lateralization and nerve repositioning (indications and techniques Practical)


Component sections:

  • Hands-on ridge augmentation and ridge splitting on models or animal jaws.
  • Sinus lift simulations with graft materials.
  • Suturing and wound closure on animal jaws.
  • Live patient surgeries by supervisors (guided bone regeneration and open sinus lifting cases).

Acquired Skills

  • Perform lateral and crestal sinus lift procedures.
  • Apply guided bone regeneration techniques.
  • Evaluate graft integration radiographically and clinically.
  • Perform ridge-splitting and GBR in simulation models.
  • Assess integration of autogenous and allogenic grafts in clinical cases.
  • Identify and manage intraoperative complications during augmentation.
  • Master bone augmentation procedures.
  • Understand sinus lift indications and techniques.
  • Learn graft material selection and handling.
  • Evaluate patient-specific indications for advanced augmentation procedures.
  • Gain proficiency in handling and stabilizing different grafting materials.
  • Understand risk management in complex augmentation cases.

Target Group

This course is intended for graduate dentists who hold a valid license to practice dentistry issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and who are interested in developing their theoretical knowledge and clinical skills in the field of dental implantology
