Description

This micro-credential equips learners with practical and applied competencies in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques into web development and web design workflows. It focuses on AI-powered user experiences, automation, generative design, personalization, and ethical implementation of AI in web environments.


At EQF Level 5, learners demonstrate comprehensive, specialized knowledge, a range of cognitive and practical skills, and the ability to manage and supervise tasks with autonomy.

Knowledge

The learner will be able to:

  1. Explain fundamental AI concepts relevant to web development (machine learning, NLP, generative AI, recommendation systems).
  2. Describe AI-powered tools used in web design and development (AI code assistants, design generators, chatbots).
  3. Identify methods for integrating AI APIs into web applications.
  4. Explain data collection, preprocessing, and basic model interaction in web contexts.
  5. Describe ethical, legal, and privacy considerations (GDPR, data security, bias mitigation).
  6. Understand user-centered AI design principles.


Acquired Skills

Integrate AI APIs (e.g. chatbot image generation text generation) into a web application. Use AI tools to support front-end and back-end development workflows. Develop AI-enhanced UI/UX components (personalized content smart forms recommendation widgets). Apply prompt engineering techniques for design and development efficiency. Implement basic data handling and API requests using JavaScript or relevant frameworks. Test and debug AI-enabled web features. Evaluate AI tools for suitability in specific web projects.

Competence

The learner will be able to:

  1. Design and develop a functional AI-enhanced web application independently.
  2. Manage integration of third-party AI services responsibly and securely.
  3. Make informed decisions about AI tool selection based on project requirements.
