This course focuses on the fundamentals and clinical applications of dental photography for documentation, diagnosis, communication, education, and esthetic analysis in both clinical dentistry and dental laboratory practice. Participants will learn camera settings, macro photography principles, lighting systems, intraoral and extraoral photography protocols, and smile documentation techniques. The course also highlights the role of photography in shade communication, case documentation, CAD/CAM workflows, and communication between dentists and dental technicians. The course includes theoretical lectures and hands-on practical training on standardized dental photography.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the fundamentals of dental photography and camera settings.

2. Apply standardized intraoral and extraoral photography protocols.

3. Use macro lenses, mirrors, retractors, and flash systems correctly.

4. Capture high-quality photographs for clinical documentation and laboratory communication.

5. Improve communication between dentists and dental technicians using photography.

6. Understand the role of photography in esthetic dentistry, smile design, and digital workflows.

7. Identify common photography errors and apply appropriate correction techniques.
